Open Space Rangers -Recording the song Meteor Shower
Wonder what guitar set-up d is using on the song Meteor Shower? To get that BIG RINGING guitar line?
d is playing a 1973 Les Paul Custom through a VOX AC 15 amp turned WAY UP. As in to the top.
d is using the neck pick-up. e set up the VOX amp to get that cool brightness, reverb and tremolo. e then left the room promptly to save his ears. Three mics on the amp – an AKG 414, Shure SM 57 and Neumann U87.
d started in. Paint peeled off the walls. Space opened up. Meteor Shower by the Open Space Rangers.
